Full Professor of Demography at the University of Milan – Bicocca, Blangiardo has taught at the University of Milan and at the Pontificia Università Lateranense in Rome.
A researcher at the Istituto di Ricerche sulla Popolazione del Cnr, he is a member of the International Union for Scientific Study of Population (Iussp); the Association Internationale des Démographes del Langue Francaise (Aidelf); the European Association for Population Studies (Eaps); and the Società Italiana di Statistica (Sis).
